December's Task

What shall we do for December's task? What on line tool shall we use? When should we complete the task since we will all be on holiday at different times?

Put your suggestions below and remember to give time for others to place there suggestions on the forum before making your mind up.

This week will be suggestions and next week will be choosing the one for December.

I like the idea of using phrases. If we use songs it is often the English songs that is the link between us. They are often translated to many languages but really shows that our traditions are influenced from Great Britain and USA. It was nice when we sang our national anthems; different songs, same meaning. "Thank you for being a friend" is great.

And as a thought for another month: Songs we sing for a birthday.

I have had a better look at google maps thing and I think 'videos' in the form of photostory type files would be quite do-able....Quite exciting actually...I'm using it in school tomorrow so maybe I'll change my mind though!!!!!

Hi everyone!! I feel so left out. I have missed the whole discussion here on December´s task. Do you all get e-mails when there is activity in the forum??? In my box- Nothing!!! I so want to be a pat of this! I will try to read all your messages and maybe get a word in.. I like the idea of Thank you! Maybe a birthday song. Leave christmas and do something else.

Hi Everyone,
My idea for December would have us focus on the idea of PEACE. Students could create pictures that represents peace in their world and their hopes for peace. Animoto ( new version with text) or Mixbook would be easy tools to upload the pictures. Then we could add a song- maybe Let there be Peace, or whatever everyone thinks would be a good song common to all.

I too (like Karin above) seem to have missed this month's discussion. I worry about doing anything with Christmas as I have to stay very separate from the holidays here at school. I like the idea of something with Peace. Our school has a peace pole with Peace in many different languages. We could have students do pictures, or photos for those allowed to, and show representations of peace. I like the song "Let there be Peace on Earth...

I think there is something wrong with our school mail server; I didn't receive notices of any postings for several weeks. I'm glad I checked the forum; I was surprised to see so much activity.

I like the idea of peace. Actually, I like everyone's ideas!
