Why do Voices Of The World Again in 2008-2009? Why be a member of the VOTW community? Is it to just be an observer and take or is it to be a participant? What do you want to get from this project? What do you want children to take from VOTW?

Voices of the World was a wonderful project that I was able to use to entice other teachers within my school into flattening the walls fo their classroom. Every month (that we were able to participate) provided a new and engaging way for students to hear the voices of other students around the world and for the teachers to learn a little more about web2.0 tools. I am not a believer in teaching tools for the tech tool sake, so the proejct provided the perfect opportunity to introduce the teachers to these tools driven be a strong instructional purpose!
I would like to continue with my students and teachers with your Voices of the orld project again this year. They
were so inspired last year. I still have students come up to me from across the school and mention the project and the part they created! And the teachers were delighted and interested in continuing, with new teachers interested in trying. You are an inspiration Sharon!

Hope you are keeping well and the project has started a thrill in students across the globe. As Ms.Farheen Elahi is no more with our school I along with my Grade 2 and 3 will be representing Beaconhouse Discovery Centre SmartSchool . This year my classes are really excited to discover new gears , make new links with the other schools involved .We hope to be able to do all tasks.

We really enjoyed participating in VOTW in 07-08 and we would love to be included in the 08-09 projects. I believe setting our mind collectively to generate tasks is a great initiative .
